Mid-level Associate

An established New-York based, multi-state firm with international business and consulting services is seeking an experienced attorney to join as a mid-level associate. The firm operates efficiently and effectively in both the domestic and the international arenas, with professionals who work closely with business executives, government officials, in-house counsel, public interest groups, and other participants in the legal and regulatory process to accomplish our clients' objectives. The firm provides the full spectrum of our clients' needs and high quality work and exceptional responsiveness to clients in a fast-paced environment.

The open position is within the Transportation Practice Group of the firm, whose professionals counsel companies and government regulators of all sizes on a broad range of complex legal matters, including litigation, Article 9 foreclosure matters, transportation policy, regulatory compliance, commercial matters, strategic planning and public policy throughout the United States and internationally.


The duties include researching and analyzing complex legal issues involving technology, apps, commercial matters, ground transportation regulations, and regulatory reforms; drafting reports and regulations for public sector clients; representing clients in administrative proceedings; managing long-term projects; and contributing to the overall development and fulfillment of the practice group’s strategic plan.

Qualifications and Experience


  • JD Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice and in good standing with at least the New York State Bar.
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong legal acumen, including capability and substantial experience and success in researching.
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Experience with litigation and/or administrative proceedings.
  • Capability to think clearly and quickly under pressure.
  • Able to satisfy multiple and often competing interests.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience in a transportation or regulatory agency.


Knowledge of legal and government information sources.

Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment.
